Child and Adolescent Therapy in CO
Hi, I’m Ren! I specialize in supporting neurodivergent and highly sensitive children and teens to thrive as their authentic selves. I utilize play therapy and expressive arts techniques through a neurodiversity-affirming lens. This means I honor your child’s unique brain and we work together to support their needs and celebrate their strengths and differences.
I am a Licensed Social Worker and am currently working towards a Licensed Clinical Social Worker credential under the supervision of Erin Bennetts, LCSW, RPT-S. I bring six years of experience working with children, including as a Montessori teacher, and 16 years of experience creating accessible spaces. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and have completed 100 hours of training in play therapy.
Services
Children Ages 6-12
I work with children who may be experiencing meltdowns, separation anxiety, rigidness, sensory overwhelm or underwhelm, or challenges transitioning between tasks and activities. Through children’s natural language of play, we’ll work on processing feelings, self-advocacy, and embracing their unique way of experiencing the world.
Adolescents Ages 13-18
Teens I work with might have experiences with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. I tend to be a good fit for teens who are not interested in “talking about their problems.” In addition to expressive arts, I also utilize psychoeducation and solution-focused approaches with teens.
Caregiver Sessions
I share themes I’m seeing in therapy, and contextualize your child’s behavior in their developmental stage. We collaborate on a plan to support your child. I can also partner with teachers, occupational or speech therapists, or pediatricians to develop coordinated care plans.
Hours, Location, and Pricing
In Denver’s Cherry Creek Neighborhood beginning July 1
Schedule: Monday and Tuesday afternoons
Location: 3955 E. Exposition Ave. #212, Denver, CO 80209
Rate: $135 for individual sessions, $150 for family sessions, only private pay accepted at this time. I cannot accept Medicaid clients for private pay.
In Olde Town Arvada
Schedule: Friday afternoons, Saturday
Location: 5738 Olde Wadsworth Blvd. Arvada, CO 80002
Rate: I practice under Courageous Counseling Colorado at this address and can accept insurance. We accept Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, United Healthcare, and Kaiser.
Via Telehealth
I can conduct telehealth if you are anywhere in the state of Colorado. I typically do telehealth on Thursdays at the same rates as listed above.
